About Missoula Family Chiropractic

A Family Practice, Built for Families

Since 2010, Missoula families have trusted us with their newborns, kids, teenagers, and parents. From your very first visit, you'll find care that is gentle, welcoming, and centered on your family.

You'll be greeted by name, and our team will take time to listen to your history, your concerns, and your goals before any recommendations are made.

Missoula Family Chiropractic is the best! Dr. Tori kept me adjusted during my pregnancy which helped in so many ways including a quick delivery! And now has continued her care with my newborn, which has done wonders for him. He’s such a happy, relaxed baby! I can’t recommended Dr. Torrie enough!

Our Story

From Olympic Athletes to Missoula Families

Shortly after graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic and completing the training and certifications to care for elite athletes as an Olympic chiropractor, Dr. Torrie's passion shifted when she had her first of three children.

The direction of Missoula Family Chiropractic changed from performance-based athletic care toward prenatal, pediatric, and family care. That remains the focus today with the most cutting edge pediatric certifications available.

Who We Are

We specialize in family chiropractic care to create peace in homes through regulating the nervous system of each family member.

We lead by example, caring for ourselves and our own kids with regular neurotonal adjustments and healthy lifestyle choices, living the chiropractic principle that the body heals itself.

Dr. Torrie Cheff, DC

Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Torrie’s journey began when she was 15 years old and her mom started working for a chiropractor! Being a year-round student athlete, she noticed that she didn’t get sick as much, she recovered fast from workouts and injuries, and her cycle became more regular. She went on to get her pre-med degree from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and her doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic graduating in the top of her class. In addition, she spent a year in Orlando training with Olympic Chiropractors and received the certification to care for elite athletes. Her focus l changed to pediatric and family care after her first child was born! With over 15 years of experience and continuing education, she has become a leading expert in her area for babies with birth trauma, nursing issues, trouble with milestone etc;, kids with sensory issues, digestive and sleep problems, ADHD, etc; teenagers going through big development changes, and stressed parents.

• Frequently Asked Questions

Is chiropractic care gentle enough for infants?

Yes! Pediatric adjustments are not anything like an adult adjustment. Dr. Torrie has specific training and certifications that go beyond what a regular chiropractor provides. She uses her hands as well as some adjustment tools to restore your baby or child's neuro-function.

What are INSiGHT scans, and do they hurt?

No! There are 3 scans that are all non-nonvasive. One is a rolling thermal that feels like two wheels rolling on the back. One is a surface EMG to test neuro-muscular imbalances (this one may be slightly cold, but painless). The last one is a heart rate variability (HRV) that either uses a resting hand or a gentle ear clip to collect data.

Will I need X-rays?

Maybe! An adult with prior traumas or moderate to severe symptoms from neurological stress such as numb/tingling in extremities or chronic pain will likely need full spine X-rays. We start with a full history, INSiGHT scans, and the doctor will determine if X-rays are needed. We do them right here in the office at a fraction of hospital prices.

What happens on my first visit?

If you are 0-15, we will likely be giving you a tour, welcoming you in, and taking scans only. We will have already done a full health history phone call with a parent over the phone prior to the appointment.

If you are an adult; you will get a quick tour, have any questions answered by the front desk about insurance/billing, and will have your evaluation including scans and X-rays if needed. You will set a follow up appointment to discuss results and get the healing started with your first adjustment.

"
We are big fans of Dr. Tori and the whole staff. The space is family friendly and Dr. Tori is so great with kids, so even when bringing my 4 kids in solo to all get adjusted I don’t feel overwhelmed. I also can’t recommend enough for parents to bring their newborns in! Keeping their bodies aligned supports a smooth adjustment to the outside world (healthy digestion and nervous system) and Dr Tori is so gentle and sweet with babes! Everyone needs a good chiropractor in their lives 🤍
